LiSHoRe Project (Listen, Share, Hold, Respond)
A team of researchers from Oxford Health NHS Trust and Oxford Brookes University are looking for Black, Asian and ethnically-diverse NHS staff to participate in a new study exploring people’s psychospiritual experiences of the COVID-19 pandemic. They are running a series of supportive Consultation Groups across 10 different NHS Trusts, and are looking for people to join one of these groups (remotely via Microsoft Teams) with up to about 10 other people from a diverse range of backgrounds from within your Trust. The group discussion will last about 60-90 minutes and will be conducted during your working hours. They will ask about your experiences of the pandemic and how it has impacted you as an ethnically diverse member of staff, and your spiritual and religious experiences and needs. They hope this will be a chance for you to have your voice heard. They are interested in staff from Manchester Foundation Trust and Greater Manchester Mental Health NHS Foundation Trust (GMMH). The discussion will be recorded, made anonymous and then analysed to find common themes. The results will be published and made available to your Trust. The project is funded by NHS England and will go towards improving psycho-spiritual support for ethnically diverse NHS Staff. Next group dates: Monday 22nd November or Monday 29th November 17:30hrs – 19:00hrs. If you would like to participate, please contact Project Manager, Juliet Chastney at: juliet.chastney@oxfordhealth.nhs.uk or telephone 07766 373006.
