Voice4Change England is currently accepting applications for the Windrush Community Fund with an upcoming information event.

This fund aims to raise awareness and support engagement for the government's Windrush Compensation Scheme and Windrush Scheme. We are supporting community and grassroots organisations with projects aimed at achieving these goals.

CAHN Black Health Improvement Programme (BHIP) - New!

The Black Health Improvement Programme (BHIP) is NOW available. BHIP is a culturally appropriate education, training and support to primary care staff and other healthcare professionals.
 
We are offering the BHIP programme funded/free to the GP practices and other primary care providers.

CAHN Family and Advocacy Support Service

The Family Support Service to be developed by CAHN aims to improve the lives of African and Caribbean children, young people and their families. It will provide culturally sensitive and targeted support for vulnerable African and Caribbean families who disproportionately face a range of complex issues and challenges.

Caribbean & African families are under-represented in receiving preventative support.

The poor working relationship between social workers and the Black community seems to have resulted from negative perceptions African and Caribbean families have about social workers and child protection procedures that unconsciously view black families, their culture and lifestyle as inherently problematic. This service aims to challenge the narrative.
