CAHN has launched its Vitamin D campaign distributing over 3000 of our "Spring into Spring Wellness Packs" to members of our community last weekend.

CAHN Black Health Improvement Programme (BHIP)

We already know that not every patient has access to the same level of support, and we want to better understand how the pandemic has affected stem cell transplant patients who are from minority ethnic backgrounds.

Please take part in our 10-minute anonymous survey to help share your experiences – from your clinical care, to how you have protected yourself from the coronavirus, the support you have received and how you have felt about the past year.

We’re working in partnership with blood cancer charity Anthony Nolan and the University of Hertfordshire to explore the pandemic’s impact and help call on the Government and NHS to provide better care and support.

The importance of reducing intake of sugar calories

We know from research that fizzy drinks cause tooth decay- this is because they are very acidic. Reducing how much sugar we drink will make our teeth healthier while decreasing the amount of fat that is built up in our bodies. Yes, they give us a quick release of energy. However, it is not worth the long-term health risks associated with high intakes, such as diabetes type 2.

Just how bad are they?

Having fizzy drink occasionally is not too threatening, but daily intake of fizzy substances is not good; no matter your diet plan, try not to indulge them.
