CAHN held its first Vaccination Clinic in Salford from 12th-17th of July, where any adult (aged 18 and over) in the Salford community could turn up to take their first or second dose of the vaccine.
 
We were pleased to see people coming out of their homes from our community and getting jabbed.
 
A huge thank you to all of our partners, funders and supporters for making this vision possible.
 
Also, a special thank you to our entire staff team and volunteers for supporting the Salford Vaccination Clinic.

CAHN Enfield Engagement Event held on Tuesday 13th July was a huge success, with over 30 attendees joining Zoom and social media to learn about the COVID-19 vaccines. 
 
With the Government’s plan to end lockdown restrictions on 19th July, the event allowed members of the community the opportunity to raise their questions or concerns about the vaccine to our doctors and health professionals. 
 
A huge thanks to everyone who attended the event. Special thanks to our healthcare professionals for dedicating their time to educate our community on the vaccine.

NIHR ARC-GM (Applied Research Collaboration Greater Manchester) would like to get your feedback on our research on Covid-19 vaccine equity for people aged 18-34 years.
 
The survey takes between 5 and 10 minutes to complete.

We are interested in hearing about your views about the vaccine, whether you have had the vaccine or have not had the vaccine. 

How has the COVID-19 pandemic affected you and your loved ones?

It is the first and largest survey of its kind in the UK - recording data of the impact of Covid 19 - and the lockdowns.

The Greater Manchester voluntary, community and social enterprise (VCSE) Mental Health Leadership Group is currently recruiting seven new group members – 5 locality leads for Bolton, Manchester, Rochdale, Tameside & Glossop and Trafford, and 2 systems leads, one for Equalities and one for Systems Change. 

The GM VCSE Mental Health Leadership Group meets monthly via Zoom and there will be remuneration on offer of £2,000 per year for the employing organization of each group member. The time commitment involved in carrying out these posts varies enormously, and we are therefore wary of putting an exact figure on the level of commitment required. That said, there is an expectation that group members will attend a monthly meeting and will be given the opportunity to represent the group (and therefore the sector) on a number of key Greater Manchester boards and meetings. Priority leads will be expected to co-chair a working group focusing on their area and Locality lead will be expected to lead VCSE forums and groups in their locality.

Getting Enough Sleep is Important 
 
Did you know the NHS recommends that we sleep 6-9 hours every night? 

Importance of Sleeping 

Sleep is not only important to maintain a healthy daily schedule to make our days more productive, but sufficient sleep also helps reduce stress which is beneficial for our mental health. It is important that we find out how much sleep we need and aim to achieve that amount to reduce fatigue.
