CAHN's Health Hour last week, Saturday 7th of August - focused on the "Management of fibroids, endometriosis and recurrent miscarriage".

 CAHN is working with Good Finance to improve access to information on social investment education.  

Your feedback will be used to design a programme of engagement activities around social investment, sustainability and innovation.

Are you or anyone you know a Stem Cell Transplant patient from the BAME community? We want to interview you or this other person to hear about your experience accessing health services during the pandemic.

CAHN is supporting Anthony Nolan and other partners - to conduct a research study that will help improve the care and the support for these patients.

*We now have a £50 voucher on offer for the first two people with lived experience who share their stories in this research.*

Collective Community Response Meeting

Our Collective Community Response Meeting (CCRM) is a fortnightly networking meeting opened to all to engage with our community.

The meetings provide engagement opportunities for local Black-led community groups and organisations; Statutory organisations working on inclusion and, even those planning community consultations and looking to have participants from the Caribbean & African community.

How good is your hand hygiene? 

Hand washing is an important act of keeping ourselves and others safe. Such a simple gesture prevents various forms of bacteria, viruses, dirt, and grease from contacting another person. 

How to wash your hands correctly? 

According to the World Health Organisation guide to washing your hands, the routine you should follow when washing your hands is to first apply an alcohol-based solution on your hands, and you can also use warm soap and water.

When should you wash your hands?  

• After urinating and changing a baby’s nappy 
• Frequently when handling vegetables and raw meat  
• Before consuming food  
• Immediately once you cough or sneeze  
• Before and after treating a wound or cut
